A Quick & Easy Soup
One of my favorite soups is lentil pea soup.
The beauty of this soup is it is not a Martha Stewartesque soup requiring 128 simple steps (each with 28 sub-steps) to make. Not only is it simple to make it is very good tasting and will help fill your belly on the cheap.

Guerilla Investing
Most money advisers will tell you, when investing, to go long and go long term. Here, long & long term mean two different things.
Going “long” is the easiest understood of investment strategies and that is to buy the item cheaply and sell it expensively.
Frugal is About Good Value
Anyway, I think you get the idea. I am sure I could sit here and list examples on both sides of the frugal fence for hours, but I think the examples above show how we’re frugal in some areas but not in others. I find it very interesting to listen and read about different peoples frugal and not so frugal practices. Doing so makes me realize that being frugal isn’t a set line in the sand, yet more of a very personal set of choices. I also think being frugal is very relevant. For example, compared to Lynnae and Jenn am I frugal? No, probably not. Compared to others though, I am very very frugal.

We all have skills and talents others are lacking. In fact, one of your friends may need those skills to advance their own profession, but they do not know where to turn or start.

Unplanned & Unbudgeted Auto Repair
DRAT!
Recently our 2002 Impala with 135,000ish miles took a long route into the ditch. We had to summon a wrecker as our truck could not get enough traction to pull the car out. The wrecker had a hard time as well, the car was stuck good and the road was slick. The wrecker at first was pulling itself into the ditch!
Eventually, Brandon from John’s Towing got the car out. However, things were immediately noticeably wrong with the car.
