The notion of hunger and ambition often go together in our sayings and thinking. Not necessarily blind ambition, but the desire to get ahead.
I think it was Harvey Mackay who in one of his books noted if you think $1,000,000 is enough money than you do not have the correct mindset to earn $1,000,000 in the first place.
It is never the satisfied who break new ground, the satisfied never invent anything (well, rarely), the satisfied do not devise new ways of doing things, and the satisfied are not going to bust their tails to earn more.
Lest you think I am encouraging greed, let me remind you the drive to become wealthier encourages economic activity which one can liken to economic rain — that delivers lifegiving waters to others.
Remember, sloth is also one of the seven deadly sins.
Trying to change myself and you on thrift and savings! It is hard to save save save in a spend spend spend world, but it is better to save than spend!
